The School and Location
Fernandez Pre-School and Learning Center is located at Green Village, Sta. Filomina, Dipolog City just a 10 Minute ride from the city proper is a newly established Pre-School. The school area is made sure to be safe, clean and child friendly. Our school is equipped with child friendly facilities including outdoor playground, washing area, air-conditioned rooms, library, clinic, waiting area fully fenced perimeter and security personnel.
The Philosophy Behind
The early years are a unique time in children’s lives. Young children are discovering a world that is filled with wonder and excitement. The 1 to 5 year old stage of life is very unique. Our children are growing from being dependent toddlers to more independent preschoolers.
The Fernandez Pre-School and Learning Center stands by the belief that each child is capable, full of potential and that they differ in their strengths and capabilities. Furthermore, we recognized that children may not have the same opportunities to develop potentials. With this in mind, we provide a differentiated curriculum that is adapted for each child. Our programs will prepare your child with life skills by offering them a variety of learning modules.
The modules will challenge the total child: physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively. For example, if a child expresses an interest in art, we will provide the opportunities and encourage the child to draw, paint and print.
The curriculum is an integrated curriculum, a seamless weave, combining thematic units with language, art, drama, music, math, science and national holidays.
Children will be able to test their own skills by engaging in both child initiated and teacher directed activities. Independence skills and self-esteem are key factors in success at this stage. The activities presented lay the foundation for future learning.
